On 12th November 2022, ‘Cleanliness Drive’ was conducted with the students of classes V to IX. All the students were taken around the ground for cleaning and the entire school building was cleaned by them. Students also cleaned up their classrooms and the corridors.
A discussion session was also conducted wherein the students of the club were informed about Dengue and Chikungunya, their causes, the various symptoms and precautions that we can take to protect ourselves and our families like spraying petrol on the water, Wearing full sleeves clothes, using mosquito repellents of any sort or bands, creams, stickers as precautions against these diseases.

On 10th December 2022 the students of Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar Mission celebrated the Vanmahotsava. Earlier During their club periods they had already made posters and slogans on the theme Save Trees. On 10th December 2022 they planted saplings of trees and plants in the school premises. Our Secretary- Mr. Rafik Ali Khan and our Principal– Dr. (Mrs.) Aparna Maitra encouraged the children by planting the first tree in the school premises. The students also tried to motivate the general public by chanting slogans on the need to save trees. The teachers also motivated them to own the trees and take care of them. Students were very delighted to do their bit to save trees in order to make the earth greener.

Swachchata Hi Seva
Today our students participated & followed some suggestive activities in an extensive manner.
On the occasion of our Reverent Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s Birthday on 17/09/2022, India has celebrated this week as campaign.
Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar Mission has also celebrated this movement in the school premises. The students and teachers both have participated in clearing the school premises. The day has been inaugurated by respected Principal- Dr. (Mrs.) Aparna Maitra. All teacher and the students have actively interacted with each other discussing about the value of a Swachchata or Cleanliness. The entire day has been maintained with the attributes of cleanliness and discipline.
To make the school promises neat/clean was the motto in particular but the main aim of “Swachchata Hi Seva” Movement express the fact that “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.

Swachch Bharat Abhiyan
Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Keeping this saying in mind the students of the Health & Wellness club planned to visit the local areas to educate the people residing there and make them aware of the need of a clean environment. On 01st October after cleaning the school grounds they formed small groups and went to the neighbouring slum area. They interacted with many shopkeepers, house wives and children. They told them about Swachch Bharat Abhiyan that was launched by the Prime Minister on 02nd October 2014. They motivated them to keep the surroundings clean by telling them how it helps them to stay healthy.

Save Water Campaign
Save water is the water conservation for solving the problems of water scarcity in the future. In many regions of the India, there is much shortage of water and people have to go for long distance to get drinking and cooking water to fulfill daily routine. On the other hand, people are wasting more water than their daily need in the regions of sufficient water. Students of Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar Mission organized ‘Save Water Campaign’ to create awareness among all of us and the need to understand the importance of water and problems related to lack of water in the future. We should not waste and contaminate useful water in our life and promote water saving and conservation among people.
